We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Vice President of Operations to oversee the daily performance and long-term growth strategy of multiple agencies within a defined region. This executive-level leader will ensure operational controls, staffing, compliance, and business goals are executed with excellence across the region. You will lead through influence, empower high-performing teams, and ensure alignment with company objectives for quality care and financial performance.
Essential Functions of the Position
Operational Leadership and Strategy
Partner with the region’s management team to develop scalable systems, processes, and infrastructure that support rapid growth and clinical excellence
Lead the operational planning and performance tracking across all assigned agency locations
Monitor and interpret regional KPIs including census growth, productivity, staffing levels, CAP liability, expenses, admissions, and discharges
Team Oversight and Performance Management
Direct and coordinate regional clinical and office staff to ensure quality, continuity, and compliance with all federal and state regulations
Build and sustain a high-performance team; recruit, train, coach, and retain regional leaders
Provide on-the-job training, performance reviews, coaching, and development recommendations
Business Growth and Financial Management
Drive financial results and ensure the region achieves and surpasses census goals, profitability targets, and overall business objectives
Collaborate with the Region President on strategic initiatives and budget management
Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on agency operating conditions and performance metrics
Compliance and Operational Efficiency
Oversee the effectiveness and compliance of regional systems and processes across all locations
Ensure operations are aligned with healthcare laws, regulatory requirements, and company standards
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, clinical, and executive teams to promote seamless care delivery and administrative efficiency
About You Specialized Knowledge and SkillsStrong leadership experience in regional or multi-site healthcare operations
Proven ability to lead performance-driven teams and support rapid growth
Strong knowledge of hospice or home health operations, compliance, and healthcare regulations
Skilled at generating new business and maintaining strong referral and physician relationships
Excellent communication and influencing skills across clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders
Ability to manage complex, time-sensitive data and prioritize multiple initiatives
Strong problem-solving skills and sound professional judgment
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related healthcare field required
Minimum of 5 years in a senior management-level operations role with demonstrated success in building and scaling markets, processes, and systems
Previous experience in home health, hospice, or post-acute care preferred
Licenses and CertificationsValid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance coverage required
Travel RequirementsUp to 65–70% travel required to support agencies across the assigned region
