We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Vice President of Operations to oversee the daily performance and long-term growth strategy of multiple agencies within a defined region. This executive-level leader will ensure operational controls, staffing, compliance, and business goals are executed with excellence across the region. You will lead through influence, empower high-performing teams, and ensure alignment with company objectives for quality care and financial performance.
**Essential Functions of the Position**
**Operational Leadership and Strategy**
+ Partner with the region’s management team to develop scalable systems, processes, and infrastructure that support rapid growth and clinical excellence
+ Lead the operational planning and performance tracking across all assigned agency locations
+ Monitor and interpret regional KPIs including census growth, productivity, staffing levels, CAP liability, expenses, admissions, and discharges
**Team Oversight and Performance Management**
+ Direct and coordinate regional clinical and office staff to ensure quality, continuity, and compliance with all federal and state regulations
+ Build and sustain a high-performance team; recruit, train, coach, and retain regional leaders
+ Provide on-the-job training, performance reviews, coaching, and development recommendations
**Business Growth and Financial Management**
+ Drive financial results and ensure the region achieves and surpasses census goals, profitability targets, and overall business objectives
+ Collaborate with the Region President on strategic initiatives and budget management
+ Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on agency operating conditions and performance metrics
**Compliance and Operational Efficiency**
+ Oversee the effectiveness and compliance of regional systems and processes across all locations
+ Ensure operations are aligned with healthcare laws, regulatory requirements, and company standards
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, clinical, and executive teams to promote seamless care delivery and administrative efficiency
**About You**
**Specialized Knowledge and Skills**
+ Strong leadership experience in regional or multi-site healthcare operations
+ Proven ability to lead performance-driven teams and support rapid growth
+ Strong knowledge of hospice or home health operations, compliance, and healthcare regulations
+ Skilled at generating new business and maintaining strong referral and physician relationships
+ Excellent communication and influencing skills across clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders
+ Ability to manage complex, time-sensitive data and prioritize multiple initiatives
+ Strong problem-solving skills and sound professional judgment
+ Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
**Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related healthcare field required
+ Minimum of 5 years in a senior management-level operations role with demonstrated success in building and scaling markets, processes, and systems
+ Previous experience in home health, hospice, or post-acute care preferred
**Licenses and Certifications**
+ Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance coverage required
**Travel Requirements**
+ Up to 65–70% travel required to support agencies across the assigned region
