VP/Managing Director - Expense FP&A
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Finance leadership to the organization to support strategic decision makingInfluence the financial performance of the company by proactively delivering thoughtful insights to senior leadership related to measuring and enhancing the productivity of the company’s resourcesLead the development of business cases for proposed strategic investments and evaluate their progress and performance relative to expectationsProvide thought leadership on approach to articulating operating expense performance to internal and external stakeholdersLead effort to integrate headcount and operating expense performance reporting across the organization by driving adoption of systems and standardization of approach across teamsBuild and maintain unquestioned credibility with the company’s senior leadership team while frequently interacting with themLead and develop a team to support these efforts, with a focus on high performance and strong employee engagementCompetencies:
Excellent strategic thinking and leadership capabilities, with an action-oriented entrepreneurial approachAbility to prioritize initiatives based on impact to the organizationStrong executive presence - exceptional communicator, both internally and externallyStrong project management and execution skills, with the ability to identify ways to deliver value at each project milestoneStrong understanding of accounting and financial reportingAn understanding of a wide range of corporate functions – technology, marketing, human resources, etc.Excellent judgement and unquestioned integrityExceptional ability to build relationships with team members and business partnersStrong contributor to the culture of the Finance department and company overallQualifications:
15+ years experience in FP&A at a public company in the financial services industry, including 5+ years focused on corporate operating expensesSignificant experience partnering with executive leadership to influence financial resultsSignificant experience building and leading high-performing teamsStrong understanding of accounting & financial reporting; MBA preferredExperience in OneStream and Workday preferred (though not required)High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of productsLocation: New York City, NY - Hybrid schedule
Target base salary range is $175,000 –$230,000 which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
