Job Summary
The Vice President of Internal Communications & Creative Services oversees the management and delivery of innovative, consistent and compelling messages and world-class team member engagement strategies across Novant Health. Additionally, The Vice President of Internal Communications & Creative Services will lead the team responsible for the creation of all video, motion graphics, graphic design, photography, writing and editing.

This marketing and communications senior leader is responsible for:
+ Development of system communication strategy to support Novant Health’s Cause, brand, annual goals, strategy and objectives as well as team member culture.
+ Creating strategic messaging, communications plans and programming and leading a content calendar and planning tools to help the organization maximize team member engagement in all activities
+ Serving as an advisor on a variety of communications channels including internal communication content platforms, email, the intranet, gamification platforms, digital signage and other communication channels
+ Supporting content development and coordination across key stakeholder groups in Novant Health including the office of the CEO and executive team; diversity, inclusion and health equity; safety and quality; nursing; Novant Health Medical Group; corporate business lines; Human Resources; Digital Products and Services, legal, risk, compliance, etc.
+ Protecting and building the Novant Health brand and reputation among team members
+ Overseeing the creation and execution of crisis communication plans in partnership with public relations team and other key stakeholders
+ Providing innovative counsel and strategy to executives and leaders for large initiatives.
+ Leading a communications team to implement plans and support team member engagement and brand ambassadors.
+ Continuously researching and implementing new communication technologies, strategies and best practices to innovate and develop the internal communication function across the organization .
+ Collaborating with public relations and marketing team leaders to ensure consistency of messages and help position Novant Health as a national thought leader.
+ Driving the development of analytics and reporting across internal content, channels and team member engagement.
+ Leading two-way communication channels for continuous feedback from team members including the Communication Council, comments on intranet content, comments on internal communication channels, regular rounding and focus groups, surveys, polls and more.
+ Managing gamification strategy for team member engagement and onboarding and employing new tools to bring our strategy to life.
+ Leading a vision for communication as Novant Health continues to grow into new markets and expand through creative partnerships
+ Provide the creative leadership and direction necessary to deliver compelling, effective, multiplatform campaigns that attract and engage diverse audiences and bring the brand to life
+ Leverage research, analytics and stakeholder input to inform creative and strategic planning processes.
+ Provide strategy and leadership over the following teams: Creative Services Group (graphic designers, writers and editors, photographers) and Multimedia Productions Group (videographers)
+ Drive innovation and push creative execution across all relevant channels
+ Help shape and inform strategy as a senior leader
+ Lead and develop a high-performing team; providing inspiration, direction, and coaching to achieve consistent, strong corporate branding
Qualifications
+ Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, Marketing, or related field. Master's Degree in communications field is preferred.
+ Experience: 15+ years' of Professional experience in public relations, marketing and/or the media. Experience specific to health care preferred. Supervisory experience is essential.
+ Additional Skills Required:
+ Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
+ A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently
+ High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels
+ Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key leaders and team members, top management, and client groups to take desired action
+ Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents
+ Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, speeches, and articles using distinctive style
+ Relationship builder with the flexibility and finesse to “manage by influence”
+ Ability to think creatively and collaboratively about all elements of communications work
+ Strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills with the ability to integrate and work well within diverse teams
