Role Overview

The VP / GM – Operations will be responsible for the complete operational management of the New Nashik facility, with key accountability for production performance, robotics welding operations, CNC machining efficiency, quality assurance, EHS compliance, cost control, and people leadership.

The candidate must have a strong background in robotics welding automation and CNC-based manufacturing environments with proven expertise in scaling operational excellence and continuous improvement systems.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership

Lead end-to-end plant operations to meet organizational goals for productivity, quality, delivery, and cost. Manage robotic welding lines, CNC machining operations, and manufacturing automation processes. Ensure optimal machine utilization, capacity planning, and operational efficiency.

Production & Process Excellence

Implement modern manufacturing practices including Lean, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and digital manufacturing systems. Drive continuous improvement, reduce cycle times, enhance throughput, and eliminate production bottlenecks. Strengthen process stability and product quality through systematic problem solving.

Quality, EHS & Compliance

Ensure adherence to quality standards, customer specifications, and certification compliance. Maintain a safe working environment with full compliance to EHS norms, audits, and statutory requirements. Implement zero-defect and zero-accident culture initiatives

People & Team Leadership

Lead and develop high-performance teams across production, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and quality. Build technical competency through skill development in robotics automation and advanced machining. Foster a culture of discipline, transparency, and team accountability

Cost & Financial Control

Control operational budgets, material usage, manpower planning, and cost reduction projects. Review and monitor financial KPIs including operating cost, OEE, scrap, rework, and project investments.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

Operational performance and production output achievement. Improvement in robotic welding efficiency and CNC productivity. Quality, EHS compliance, and customer satisfaction metrics. Cost savings, budget control, and margin improvement. People capability enhancement and organizational discipline.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or relevant field. About 15-20 years of experience in manufacturing operations with strong exposure to robotic welding automation and CNC machining. Experience managing a large manufacturing plant with multi-functional leadership. Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and modern digital production systems. Proven capability to manage customer expectations and industrial relations.
