Are you in? **Primary Purpose** The Vice President of Communications and Marketing Mid-Atlantic South, will be responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy that enhances the reputation of Exelon’s operating companies in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Delaware – including Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE), Pepco, and Delmarva Power. This role will lead efforts to effectively engage customers and key stakeholders across these regions in support of business outcomes, community impact and the operating company’s long-term vision **Primary Duties** + **Lead Communications Strategy and Execution** – Own the design, development, and implementation of policies and programs that enhance the public reputation of the organization. Direct the integrated Communications and Marketing function, encompassing both internal and external communications. Oversee a comprehensive strategy using diverse formats and media to: promote awareness of the operating companies’ community goals and achievements, position the organization as a competitive leader in environmental and business performance and, build and sustain critical stakeholder relationships + **Executive and Cross-Functional Communication** – Maintain open, ongoing communication with senior leadership, business units, and BSC departments to ensure alignment and adaptability of communications and marketing programs. Serve as the primary point of contact for all communications-related matters to ensure message consistency, clarity, and accuracy. + **Strategic Integration Across Departments** – Align communications and marketing strategies with other external-facing and operational departments to ensure unified messaging and collaboration in support of business objectives. + **Environmental Scanning and Strategic Adjustmen** t – Monitor economic, social, and political trends that may impact the operating companies. Provide strategic recommendations to adjust communications and marketing plans accordingly. + **Executive Counsel** – Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on communications, marketing, and corporate reputation matters. + **Stakeholder and Media Relations** – Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including national and local media, industry groups, trade associations, vendors, and community leaders. **Job Scope** + Direct supervision of a team of professional and administrative employees. + Interfaces with utility senior leadership, other areas of the company including corporate communications and legislative groups; may be utility spokesperson. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related field + The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of progressively responsible experience and technical know-how in strategic communications in support of marketing and business goals. + Proven, successful experience in leading a broad base of internal and external communications functions including key message management, crisis communications, employee communications, speech and presentation support, copywriting and editing, script-writing, and multiple forms of electronic communications including interactive and social networking. + Excellent copywriting skills in conjunction with the overall communications plan; effective writing and editing skills for all materials produced by Marketing & Communications as well as other key customers within the organization. + Strong strategic, creative and progressive thinking, ability to handle ambiguity; strong attention to detail and well-organized with dependable follow-up and follow-through. **Preferred Qualifications** + Direct supervision of a team of professional and administrative employees + Interfaces with utility senior leadership, other areas of the company including corporate communications and legislative groups; may be utility spokesperson. **Benefits** **Benefits** + Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $248,000.00/Yr. – $341,000.00/Yr. + Annual Bonus for eligible positions: 40% + 401(k) match and annual company contribution + Medical, dental and vision insurance + Life and disability insurance + Generous paid time off options, including vacation, sick time, floating and fixed holidays, maternity leave and bonding/primary caregiver leave or parental leave + Employee Assistance Program and resources for mental and emotional support + Wellbeing programs such as tuition reimbursement, adoption and surrogacy assistance and fitness reimbursement + Referral bonus program + And much more Note: Exelon-sponsored compensation and benefit programs may vary or not apply based on length of service, job grade, job classification or represented status.
