We are currently recruiting for a VP Operations Excellence within our Healthcare & specialist Logistics division.
\nIn this role you will shape, drive, and lead the business by defining strategies and tactics to develop and expand an operational model for both existing and targeted customers. The focus is on renewal rates, generating new business and enhancing profits for DHL and our customers through significant cost reductions. This will involve meeting safety and service standards while exceeding quality benchmarks in alignment with business objectives, corporate guidelines, and policies. Additionally, you will balance organisational and customer needs to achieve the four bottom lines each year, with a clear plan to invest in and promote the ESG agenda.
\n✅THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED BY:
\n\nDeveloping and communicating a clear vision for operational excellence that aligns with the organisation's goals and objectives\nEnsuring the highest standards of safety across operations, prioritising and promoting a culture of safety within the organisation.\nDriving the successful implementation of global operations excellence initiatives, such as OMS (Operations Management System).\nFoster collaboration across departments to ensure alignment and integration of operational excellence practices throughout the organisation\nDeveloping a logical divisional real estate strategy by determining the optimal distribution of facilities and resources to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.\nConducting thorough evaluations and scrutiny of new business proposals to ensure that new ventures align with DHL's operational standards, strategic goals, and profitability objectives.\nIdentifying and implementing initiatives that result in significant cost reductions for DHL and its customers. Implement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and service delivery through improved operational practices.\nOverseeing the successful launch and operation of start-up ventures. \nEnsuring that all sites within remit operate in compliance with DHL's quality and security standards. \nDriving the industrialized rollout of proven technologies and innovations. \nIntegrate sustainability practices into operational processes to support the organization's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals\n\n✅WHAT YOU'LL BRING
\n\nExperience of working across Business Units/sectors\n\n\nExtensive experience in operations management, with a focus on process improvement, efficiency, and quality control.\n\n\nA strong knowledge of Pharma, Supply Chain Processes, logistics, warehousing, and related operational functions.\nExperience of matrix management - managing teams and projects in a cross-functional or cross-organizational structure\nDemonstrated experience in continuous improvement (CI), transformation, or operations excellence roles. This includes implementing process improvements, lean methodologies, and driving operational efficiencies within an organisation.\nTo possess the ability to influence and create impact for stakeholders within all levels of the organisation\nDemonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing teams and driving organizational change. This includes the ability to inspire and motivate others, make strategic decisions, and lead by example.\nExperience within the pharmaceutical/medical or Aviation & Travel industry\n\n\n
