VP, Product Commercialization - Acquiring

About the Role:

Vice President of Product Commercialization, Acquiring  will lead the acquiring strategy for our enablement sponsorship business. This includes overseeing merchant acquiring sponsorship, ATM acquiring and sponsorship services, and faster payments capabilities such as Visa Direct and Mastercard Send. This is a leadership position with a team comprised of Director and Product Line Managers who have day-to-day responsibilities for each product line. The ideal candidate has deep experience enabling fintechs, ISOs, and processors, and understands the regulatory, network, and operational complexities of sponsor banking. You will be instrumental in driving scalable growth through partnerships, technology integration, and risk-aware innovation.

What You Will Do:

Drives revenue growth by developing new solutions and expanding use of existing products. Partners with cross functional teams to set the product strategy, priorities, and roadmap. Understands the needs and problems of both Pathward partners and end users. Partners with internal areas to perform market research and discovery. Owns strategic relationships with key third party partners. Recommend new relationships as needed. Manages the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical implementations. Monitors and communicates product performance, key metrics, and relevant partner/user feedback. Drives the go-to-market strategy for new products and enhancements, working with various internal departments to execute. Manages product P/L. Support forecasting and annual budget planning. Develops industry expertise by attending industry events, consuming industry research, and analyzing the competitive landscape. Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience. Master's degree preferred. Typically 12+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.  10+ years in payments, with extensive experience in acquiring, sponsor banking, fintech enablement, or BaaS banks. Deep knowledge of Visa/Mastercard acquiring rules, ATM sponsorship models, and real-time/faster payment solutions. Proven track record in managing acquiring relationships, partner programs, and network compliance. Strong understanding of regulatory and operational requirements for sponsor banks (e.g., OCC, BSA/AML, etc. ). Deep understanding of card network rules and compliance (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) related to acquiring. Experience working with the broad acquiring ecosystem including ISOs, payment processors, payment facilitators, etc.. Strong knowledge of interchange, settlement, chargeback, and risk management in acquiring. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with partners, networks, and regulators.

Salary range: $151,672.07 – $250,258.92

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future.
