Chubb Commercial Insurance is seeking a dynamic and experienced VP, Home Office Property Underwriter to join our Property Line of Business team. This leadership role will partner closely with Field Underwriters, Territory Underwriting Managers (TUMs), Industry Practice Leaders, and Regional Leadership to drive results across complex property transactions, focusing on new business growth, rate management, retention, and profitability.

 

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary property referral resource for assigned Industry Practices within Commercial InsuranceLead and participate in enterprise calls for assigned Industry PracticesProvide actionable market feedback on product offerings and pricing strategiesAdvise and support the development and execution of underwriting strategies in collaboration with the home office line of business teamDeliver training and ongoing support to underwriters, fostering technical excellenceMentor and develop the property specialist team to ensure continued growth and expertiseMaintain full P&L accountability for the assigned book, including premium, profitability, growth, retention, and expense managementDevelop and negotiate pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions for both new and renewal businessExecute CI Property strategies and manage the overall portfolio for the assigned book of businessAnalyze and manage risk, including CAT exposures and large, complex property risksMinimum of 10 years of property underwriting experience, preferably within commercial insuranceDeep understanding of Commercial Insurance Property products, appetite, and market trendsDemonstrated technical and underwriting leadership skillsAdvanced negotiation and influencing abilitiesProven track record of building and maintaining strategic relationshipsExceptional communication and presentation skillsStrong execution and results orientation

 

The pay range for the role is $150,000 to $180,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
