Salary Mid-Point: $180,000 Location: Pittsburgh PA Job Type: Permanent IFG Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a VP, Accounting and Finance responsible for overseeing the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements, ensuring the integrity of all corporate accounting activities. It leads budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to support strategic decision-making while providing financial analysis and insights to senior leadership. The role coordinates internal and external audits, tax filings, regulatory reporting, and maintains updated accounting policies aligned with industry standards and parent company directives. It also supports M&A activities, including financial modeling, due diligence, and integration, and manages corporate functions such as insurance, hedging, banking, customs requirements, and compliance. The position supervises mid- to senior-level professionals, providing leadership, training, and conducting semi-annual performance reviews to drive team performance and development.

Responsibilities of the VP, Accounting and Finance Direct the preparation and distribution of recurring and annual financial reporting deliverables, ensuring information is produced accurately and within established timelines for both internal leadership and external stakeholders. Support the design, enhancement, and monitoring of financial systems and internal controls to safeguard data reliability, including periodic revisions to departmental policies and procedural documentation. Lead the end-to-end coordination of the yearly external audit process, managing reconciliations, analytical reviews, and serving as the primary liaison to auditors throughout fieldwork. Maintain adherence to applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring all financial practices align with governing guidelines and company policies. Contribute to the development and consolidation of the organization's annual operating plan and financial targets. Provide analytical support on cross-functional initiatives and generate customized financial analyses and reports as needed. Cascade enterprise-wide goals and financial expectations to operational sites to promote alignment and accountability. Conduct periodic compliance reviews of plant locations to confirm consistent application of corporate policies, procedures, and internal control standards.
Qualifications of the VP, Accounting and Finance Bachelors' degree in accounting, finance or business related discipline. MBA and/or CPA preferred 10 plus years relevant experience
