Job Title: AI Engineer – Voice virtual assistants
Location: Preferably at Overland Park, KS
Position Summary
We are seeking a Voice AI Engineer with strong expertise in developing voice virtual assistants, building intelligent workflows using Large Language Models (LLMs), and deep familiarity with modern cloud-native technologies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex problems at scale, and is excited about the future of conversational AI.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy voice-based virtual assistants integrated with natural language understanding and speech recognition systems.Create and maintain LLM-powered playbooks to enable contextual, multi-turn, and task-oriented conversations.Collaborate with product and design teams to define user journeys and voice interaction models.Implement and maintain microservices and backend infrastructure using Python, Kubernetes, Kafka, and AWS Cloud.Develop scalable data pipelines and event-driven architectures for real-time assistant interactions.Monitor and improve the performance of deployed models and virtual assistants across multiple platforms.Apply best practices in security, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (IaC).Required Skills & Qualifications
3–5+ years of experience developing voice assistants or conversational AI applications.Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Cohere, Anthropic) and prompt engineering for building task automation and knowledge playbooks.Proficiency in Python for backend/API development and orchestration of ML pipelines.Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and Kafka for building scalable event-driven systems.Strong understanding of AWS services, including Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, and CloudFormation/Terraform.Solid knowledge of REST APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth2), and secure cloud architectures.Familiarity with NLU/NLP platforms (e.g., Alexa, Rasa, or custom-built engines) is a plus.Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating speech services (e.g., AWS Lex/Polly, Microsoft Azure Speech).Familiarity with MLOps tools and frameworks (e.g., SageMaker, MLflow).Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.Contributions to open-source LLM or voice-related projects is a plus.At Concentrix, we provide customer experience solutions that may involve handling sensitive data. The base salary range for this position is $92,250 - $171,321, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
