Overview
A growing team in San Antonio is looking for an experienced Voice Administrator to support their Avaya environment while the organization transitions to Microsoft Teams Calling. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence once per week (Tuesdays, if local to San Antonio). Ideal candidates bring strong Avaya administration experience and the ability to manage a high-volume ticket queue.
Responsibilities
• Manage and work through approximately 40 tickets per day
• Perform Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes (MACD) within the Avaya system
• Process user/phone setup updates including extensions, voicemail, and call routing
• Troubleshoot voice issues, call quality concerns, and feature-related problems
• Coordinate with telecom carriers to resolve circuit-related issues/outages
• Document work and maintain accurate updates in ServiceNow
• Contribute to the Microsoft Teams Calling transition project
• Proactively monitor, manage, and close out the task queue
Required Qualifications
• At least 2–3 years of hands-on Avaya System Administration experience
• Strong knowledge of Avaya Call Manager, Communication Manager, voicemail, and ACD
• Ability to troubleshoot voice and telephony issues independently
• Carrier circuit experience (Avaya, Spectrum, Verizon, etc.)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle high ticket volume
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Teams Calling is a plus
• Avaya IP Office experience is a plus
Work Details
• Hybrid role, on-site once weekly (Tuesdays, if local to San Antonio); Remote if outside of San Antonio and/or surrounding areas
• Preference for candidates based in San Antonio, but open to candidates anywhere in Texas
• Contract length: 1 year
• Pay range: $28–$35/hr
