What you’ll do

 

As a Pre-Sales Solution Consultant at Vodafone UK, you will play a pivotal role in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders within customer organisations to understand their business goals and objectives. Working closely with account teams, you’ll identify, qualify, and propose tailored solutions from Vodafone’s portfolio that help customers achieve their strategic ambitions. You’ll collaborate with UK-centric global clients and typically own opportunities worth up to £100M TCV, with the potential to influence major transformations across industries—truly helping to “change the way Britain works.”

 

In this customer-facing role, you’ll support both private and public sector clients, requiring a solid understanding of relevant procurement frameworks and processes. You’ll be responsible for generating demand by proactively identifying new opportunities, as well as responding to customer requests for innovative technology solutions. Working within cross-functional and virtual teams—including design specialists, SMEs, and partners—you’ll lead the requirements capture process, ensuring solutions are both effective and commercially viable. Your professionalism and expertise will be key to delivering value, enhancing customer satisfaction, and making a measurable impact.

 

Design and Deliver Solutions: Create high-quality, commercially viable solutions that meet client requirements and are approved by internal stakeholders, supported by clear and professional documentation.Consulting Expertise: Act as the single point of contact during requirements capture, translating customer needs into technical designs and ensuring alignment with Vodafone’s strategy and standards.Sales Support: Provide technical input for bids, including cost estimates and solution presentations, while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and supporting commercial discussions.Technical Design Ownership: Lead the design process from concept to deployment, ensuring solutions are scalable, manageable, and aligned with Vodafone’s product offerings and standards.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, third parties, and partners to ensure smooth delivery and sign-off of solutions, maintaining technical relationships throughout the bid lifecycle.Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure Vodafone has a full understanding of client requirements and articulate these effectively to support timely and successful solution delivery.

Who you are  

 

We’re seeking a knowledgeable and adaptable Pre-Sales Solution Consultant who brings a strong blend of business acumen and technical expertise. You’ll be expected to understand core business functions and contribute to constructing business cases that demonstrate tangible benefits for our clients. Your role will span the full pre-contract/sales cycle, with a focus on capturing requirements accurately and translating them into commercially viable solutions.

 

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a solid foundation in key technologies and tools, along with a commitment to continuous personal development. We value individuals who are self-driven, eager to grow their technical and soft skills, and capable of navigating both private and public sector environments. Eligibility for DV-level security clearance is essential due to the nature of some client engagements.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

 

Understanding of business case development and benefits realisation.Familiarity with core business functions such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Strategy.Experience with requirements capture processes and pre-contract/sales cycles.

 

Technical & Professional Skills:

 

Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Office 365, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong experience in one or more technologies: WAN, LAN, Unified Communications, IoT, Cloud, or Security.Desirable: Knowledge of ITIL framework and public sector procurement frameworks.Eligible and willing to attain DV-level security clearance.
