What you’ll do
You will work as part of the Direct B2B Commercial Performance team who are responsible for owning, shaping and defining the commercial success and strategy for these segments worth £1.5bn revenue.
In this role as Commercial Manager, you will support the aligned Head of Sales and be responsible for the commercial performance, forecasting and achievement of key market, customer and financial KPIs in the segment.
As well as being a great strategic team player and leader, you will work across several Channel functions and collaborate with areas of the business such as Sales, Marketing, CVM, Demand Generation, Sales Ops Product and Finance to ensure that we optimise revenue opportunities, forecast accurately and identify and address operational challenges.
Crucially, you will have strong strategic and commercial acumen, being comfortable working with senior stakeholders and holding colleagues to account for their numbers, as well as working well across functions and teams.
Translate strategic ideas and growth opportunities into actionable plans and initiatives, drawing on resources from across the function and wider organisationOwnership for the segment plan for VFB holding the wider team to account, ensuring we have the right plans in place to maximise both revenue and margin and leading on business case developmentDevelop and lead on the commercial and governance framework for the delivery of the Segment strategyTake insight from the matrixed teams (CCM, Finance, Product and DDT ) and turn it into clear actions and recommendations to improve performanceAble to tell a story with data and challenge the status quo to drive commercial improvements Create and manage the delivery of operational programmes including close the gap activity and tactical trading initiatives Analysis of external/ competitor insight that allows the Segment to continually monitor its strategic directionConduit into the wider business for Segment- across Mktg, Demand Gen, Finance, CVM, Sales Ops
