As a Vocational Support Specialist, you'll work closely with clients to develop their vocational, social, and independent living skills. You'll conduct instructional activities, assist with career planning, and provide on-site job support to ensure successful employment outcomes. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with employers, conducting job site analyses, and serving as a liaison between clients, employers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized service plans to support clients' vocational goalsFacilitate skill development activities in vocational, social, and independent living areasCoordinate and support paid, work-based learning experiences for clientsProvide on-site job support to assist clients in learning job duties and integrating into the workplaceServe as a liaison between employers, clients, and co-workersEducate employers on the benefits of hiring persons with disabilities and facilitate job accommodationsConduct job site analyses and develop strategies for client successMonitor and report on client progress towards individualized service plan goalsMaintain accurate and timely documentation of services providedCollaborate with referral sources, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive supportAdvocate for clients and promote the organization's services in the community

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent certificate requiredAssociate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferredExperience in rehabilitation, employment services, case management, or social services preferred

Additional Qualifications:

Strong customer service and interpersonal skillsProficiency in computer applications including Word, Excel, and internet platformsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of supporting individuals with disabilities and barriers to employmentAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsMust pass a background check including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect screeningValid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance requiredMust complete New Hire Orientation and all required training, including Relias
