Job Summary
The Warehouse Vitamin Order Puller position is responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient vitamin and supplements department in the warehouse. Duties include receiving and inspecting inbound products, maintaining documentation of inbound and outbound orders, organizing shelves, and processing and filling orders accurately and efficiently for Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage stores. This position is also responsible for assisting the shipping department in coordinating cross-dock.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include the following essential functions, but are not limited to:
Transfer inbound orders from receiving to the vitamin / supplements area for processingReceive, unpack, and examine goods for any damages or expiration datesIsolate any damaged or expired goods and report to vendor and purchasing for dispositionProcess any return orders as necessaryCheck invoices for accuracy and report any discrepancies to purchasing immediatelyEnter goods into SAP using RF gunComplete necessary paperwork, and send to home office for processingProcess purchase orders from home office staff to create outbound deliveries for storesReport any purchase order errors or discrepancies to buyer for correctionsFill orders for stores using RF gunClearly mark finished packages with store identification and transfer packages to cross dock areaComplete and maintain records of outbound delivery numbersMaintain good housekeeping in the vitamin and supplements departmentMaintain receiving logs and outbound delivery logsAssist in other areas when backup is neededProvide clear and professional communication with home office, stores, managers, coworkers and vendors at all times regarding needs of the customers (stores) and the warehousePerform all operations in a manner that promotes safetyMust adhere to all company policies and proceduresMay be assigned to other warehouse tasks such as inventory and housekeepingAlthough this is a general outline of job responsibilities, all employees are expected to be ''hands on'' and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive.
QualificationsEducation, Skills & Experience
2-5 years of experience in food or beverage warehouse, order pulling, shipping, and receivingAbility to read, write and speak English clearly and conciselyPrevious forklift experience required; must be certified by NGVCGood attention to detail required; accuracy and thoroughness is a mustAbility to work with others in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility with working hours to accommodate warehouse needsAble to work in seasonally warm or cool environmentAble to assist in other departments as neededPrevious experience with inventory required.Experience with SAP a plusMust have current Colorado Driver's License and reliable transportationThis job description is not an employment contract.
