Job Description

DESCRIPTION:
The Visual Inspector is responsible for performing manual visual inspection of product-filled vials and recording all activities according to internal documentation. This role is critical in ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards.


REQUIREMENTS:

Set up and operate the inspection process in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs).

Perform manual visual inspection of designated products as per provided documentation.

Complete batch and associated documentation accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with cGMP.

Monitor equipment status and readiness for packing/inspection, reporting any faults or issues to the Process Coordinator.

Clean and maintain rooms/equipment according to SOPs, cGMP, and pharmaceutical industry regulatory standards.

Communicate any instances of non-conformance to the Process Coordinator, Section Head, or Quality Assurance representatives for investigation and rectification.

Support project validation work and new product introduction to the Operations department.

Conduct and assist in basic equipment maintenance.

Ensure accurate and timely completion of BMR and associated documents, including online reviews and reconciliations.

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Responsibilities:

Ensure products are inspected and documentation completed in accordance with GMP and Standard Operating Procedures.

Support the Process Coordinator in performing audits.

Assist in relevant Deviation and Complaint investigations and determination of appropriate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) as required.

Maintain a high level of tidiness and cleanliness at all times – personal, work area, and department.


Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Responsibilities:

Understand emergency procedures and comply with safe systems of work.

Ensure compliance with environment, health, safety, and security policies and procedures, rules, signage, and instructions at all times.

Promptly report and investigate all accidents, near misses, and breaches of rules.

Qualifications and Skills:

Excellent eyesight and patience to inspect products to a consistently high standard in line with company/client and industry standards.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage own workload effectively.

Knowledge of cGMP and pharmaceutical industry standards (preferred).

Experience with visual inspection techniques and equipment (preferred).
