The School of Applied Technologies invites applications for a Visiting Instructor to teach Electrical Controls/Instrumentation courses during the Spring 2026 semester. This position supports a two-year associate degree program designed to prepare graduates for careers as electrical control and instrumentation technicians.
A successful candidate will bring a minimum of five years of industrial or factory experience as a controls/instrumentation technician, along with hands-on expertise in power installation, control circuit wiring, troubleshooting of control and power systems, and electrical safety practices. Proficiency with PLCs and VFDs?including Allen Bradley and Siemens equipment?programming and troubleshooting is expected, as well as experience creating electrical schematics and wiring drawings using CAD, EPlan, or Solid Edge. Candidates should also be skilled in system sizing (conductors, conduits, motor and control circuits, overcurrent protection) and capable of designing and calculating systems in accordance with NEC and industry standards.

Requirements:
+ Associate's degree and five years of industrial/factory experience as a controls/instrumentation technician for an Instructor appointment OR
+ Bachelor's degree and one years of industrial/factory experience as a controls/instrumentation technician required for appointment as Assistant Professor.
+ Hands on electrical controls experience including power installation, control circuit wiring, control and power system troubleshooting.
+ PLC and VFD experience with PLC equipment, programming, and troubleshooting.
+ Experience with electrical schematic and wiring drawings in CAD, EPlan, or Solid Edge.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree
+ Teaching experience
+ Experience in control and power system sizing including conductors, conduits, motor circuits, control circuit equipment, and overcurrent protection.
+ Control and power system design and calculations based on NEC and industry standards.
Additional Information:
+ Salary: $24,000 for Spring Semester (January 19, 2026 - May 15, 2026)
+ This is a Temporary, 1- semester position (Spring 2026)
