Virtual Occupational Therapist $65.00
Position Overview We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide remote/virtual therapy services to students in a school setting. The Virtual OT will support students with diverse needs by delivering high-quality teletherapy sessions, conducting assessments, collaborating with school teams, and ensuring compliance with IEP requirements. Key Responsibilities + Provide virtual OT services to students individually or in small groups, following their IEP goals and service minutes. + Conduct assessments and evaluations using district-approved digital tools and platforms. + Develop, update, and implement IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications in collaboration with the IEP team. + Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including therapy notes, progress reports, assessments, and Medicaid billing (if applicable). + Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and parent conferences virtually as required. + Provide consultation and support to teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to promote student success in the online and classroom learning environments. + Deliver evidence-based interventions that address fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, self-regulation, and functional school-based skills. + Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies. + Utilize secure, compliant teletherapy platforms and maintain student confidentiality at all times. Qualifications + Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. + Active state OT license (and additional state licenses if servicing multiple states). + NBCOT certification (preferred or required depending on the district). + Previous school-based experience strongly preferred. + Experience with teletherapy platforms and digital assessment tools is a plus. + Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. + Comfortable working remotely and supporting students in virtual learning environments.
