The aim of this mission is to contribute, under the supervision of the Head of Mechanical Maintenance, to the definition, execution, and optimisation of maintenance plans for critical equipment (gas turbines, generators, compressors, injection pumps), by applying maintenance standards (RCM/CBM), management systems (CMIMS/SAP), and Block 17 HSE standards to maximise asset availability, reduce costs, and ensure safe operations.
As a Mechanical Methods Engineer, you main responsibilities will be :
• Maintenance planning and optimisation: Monitor, update, and optimise the maintenance schedule for critical equipment; develop RCM and CBM plans; consolidate the history of topside equipment.
• Preparation and execution of major interventions: Prepare and coordinate shutdowns and major overhauls; ensure on-site follow-up; validate diagnostics.
• Contract and performance management: Assist in managing maintenance contracts; monitor KPIs and budget; evaluate contractors.
• Systems, data, and CMIMS: Organise and maintain the equipment database; ensure reporting in CMIMS/SAP.
• Optimisation & reliability: Review maintenance plans to reduce downtime and costs; develop the in-house policy; identify improvement opportunities.
Candidate ProfileExpected qualifications :
Mechanical Engineering degreeRequired profile :
Experience in heavy industry.Experience in maintenance and methods would be a plus.Curious and highly motivated to learn and deepen their understanding of the oil and gas industry in a major producing country.Creative, with a strong desire to propose innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Technical skills :
First experience in turbomachinery mechanics, pumps, engines; RCM methodologies.
Computing skills :
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office : Excel, Powerpoint
