Vice President - Product Manager - Global Banking Platform

As an Area Product Owner within the Global Banking Platform team, you will be responsible for setting the product vision and collaborating with Architecture and Engineering teams to innovate and build the platform's capabilities. Your role will involve communicating this vision clearly to both external and internal partners. Our team provides core banking services to host and maintain a customer ledger on an innovative, cloud-native, real-time, and always-on platform. This platform is leveraged by financial products to deliver next-generation banking products swiftly.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Lead the Area Product Group for the Global Banking Platform, ensuring the successful delivery of the APG.Convert the maturity vision of the GBP Platform into actionable requirements, working closely with product owners and engineering teams from the solution design phase through to the implementation of new features and capabilities.Emphasize "building the right thing in the right way" to deliver high-quality solutions that fulfill customer needs.Serve as a Functional and Technical Subject Matter Expert on platform capabilities, collaborating with various APG teams within the Global Banking Platform to develop and implement new platform features.Develop the roadmap and prioritize the backlog for the area product group.Advise on business priorities and provide guidance to partners on the options and risks associated with different solutions.Act as a representative for stakeholders, being available to scrum teams to clarify requirements and make decisions.Review sprint outcomes and report progress to stakeholders.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

10+ years experience working in engineering, technology, innovation, business strategy, analytics, new product developmentProficiency in Agile methodology. Knowledge of JIRA to do product planning and Sprints.Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to work well in cross-functional teams and ability to partner across various disciplines and levels of technical knowledgeAbility to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentA track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadershipExperience working with and presenting to senior executives

 

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities;

Bachelor’s/Master's degree preferably in technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.). Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts - AWS certification is a plusExpert in Leading Technical Delivery teams and Enterprise ProductsExpertise in micro service architecture and cloud-native technologies (AWS, Kubernetes)Excellent communication and problem solving skillsDomain knowledge in Core Banking (ex: Deposits, Credit Card, Lending)
