Vice President Product Management, Payroll
**ADP is seeking a Vice President of Product Management, Payroll** to lead the product vision, strategy, and execution for our Payroll solutions—one of the most critical pillars of our Human Capital Management (HCM) portfolio. This leader will shape a future-forward payroll experience that powers pay for millions of workers around the globe and delivers exceptional value to our clients and business. As the VP of Product for Payroll, you will define and drive a roadmap that achieves measurable outcomes in client satisfaction, engagement, scalability, innovation, and business performance. You'll manage a team of product leaders, foster a high-performing culture, and play a central role in evolving our product operating model to empower outcome-driven, client-centric teams. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Define and drive a bold, market-leading product strategy and multi-year roadmap for Payroll, grounded in client needs, regulatory compliance, and business priorities. + Champion the shift from output to outcomes—prioritize initiatives that deliver measurable impact on client satisfaction, retention, and product growth. + Oversee the full product lifecycle, from discovery through delivery and optimization, ensuring scalable, compliant, and differentiated payroll experiences. + Ensure alignment between product goals and the broader organizational strategy, collaborating closely with Business Unit Product teams, Sales, Client Service, Compliance, Legal, and Development. + Develop and empower a high-performing team of product leaders who demonstrate strong business acumen, client empathy, and strategic decision-making. + Promote a leadership culture where each team member operates with accountability, clarity of purpose, and influence—owning outcomes end-to-end like business owners, not just delivering features. + Model and reinforce behaviors aligned with ADP’s leadership standards, including courageous communication, cross-functional collaboration, and a growth mindset. + Build operational discipline through consistent product development rhythms, feedback loops, and governance that drive delivery excellence and cross-functional collaboration. + Implement robust discovery practices to ensure teams are solving the right problems with validated solutions before development begins. + Partner with Business Unit Product Teams, Marketing and Commercial teams to inform go-to-market strategy, pricing, positioning, and adoption efforts. + Monitor product performance in-market and lead continuous improvement efforts based on feedback, data, and evolving market demands. + Establish clear product and business metrics tied to engagement, satisfaction, conversion, and retention. + Advocate for investments and organizational change when metrics highlight strategic opportunity or risk. + Use data and client insights to inform decisions, validate solutions, and measure success post-launch. **WHAT YOU’LL BRING:** + A bold vision for the future of payroll and the leadership to inspire teams to build it. + A commitment to outcome-driven execution and a passion for solving real client problems. + A deep appreciation for the complexity of payroll compliance and scale—and the creativity to make it simple and smart. + A high level of energy, strategic thinking, and operational rigor needed to lead in a fast-moving, matrixed environment. **ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:** + 15+ years of product management experience in a technology organization, with 10+ years in product leadership roles. + Proven success in launching and scaling complex, innovative, and mission-critical payroll systems + Experience leading empowered product teams and driving transformation through a product operating model. + Strong technical fluency with a track record of delivering scalable, secure SaaS products and partnering closely with engineering on architecture and platform decisions. + Proven experience driving adoption of AI-powered solutions, with a focus on delivering business value while ensuring responsible and scalable implementation. + Deep understanding of agile methodologies, discovery practices, and data-driven product development. + Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally, influence at all levels, and make complex decisions with clarity. + Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills. + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field + Proven success in launching and scaling complex, innovative, and mission-critical products—ideally in payroll, compliance, or enterprise HCM software. + MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred. \#LI-KC1 **A little about ADP:** We are a comprehensive global provider of cloud-based human capital management (HCM) solutions that unite HR, payroll, talent, time, tax and benefits administration and a leader in business outsourcing services, analytics, and compliance expertise.
