Overview

The Vice President of Primary Care Operations leads the operations of Abode Care Partners, the home-based primary care service line within BrightSpring Health.  This includes services spanning In-home, Assisted Living, Group Homes, Independent Living, and Skilled Nursing Facilities.  Oversight includes all aspects of operational influence including leadership of regional dyad (clinical and business) leaders, execution of growth strategy, implementation of value-based strategies, recruitment/retention, productivity management, and relationship management with partner organizations.  Currently, this encompasses 13 states (with an expectation to add 9 additional states by year-end 2024), 300 locations, 15k patients, and roughly 200 employees.  This role is a key thought leader for the leadership team and will partner to set strategy across the business unit.  Ensuring appropriate infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and policy/procedure management that drive financial success are critical elements of the role. 

Responsibilities Accountable to drive key metrics and outcomes – EBITDA, patient lives growth, quality outcomes, productivity, customer satisfaction, retention; including the development or revision of metrics, as indicated Partner to develop and execute upon growth strategies – including business plans and operating frameworks - within the core footprint and within new markets Collaborates on the design and development; directs the execution of value-based strategies to include Transitional Care and Chronic Care Management programs, Annual Wellness Visit completion, health risk assessments, and risk stratified approaches to care deliveryEstablish a scalable infrastructure – people, process, and technology – to enable efficient operations and clearly defined staffing ratios to support optimal outcomesProfessional development of all operational leaders with accountability targets and review mechanisms Directs the access and care coordination capabilities for patient and customer service strategies for all clinical operationsCollaborates to refine cross-selling strategies and measurement with other BrightSpring service lines (e.g.: home health, hospice, pharmacy, etc)Proactively problem solve to resolve operational barriers and prioritize regional work and approachesEnsures effective design and implementation of recruitment and retention programsAnalyzes performance trends to target and prioritizes work effort changes required to accomplish goalsCreate processes and mechanisms to prospectively manage customer relationships; serve as an escalation point for strategic or difficult relationships, as neededContinual review and assessment of processes, technology, skill mix, and workflows to drive efficiency and best-in-class capabilities Ensure clearly defined goals and expectations for all team members, including support of a performance improvement processOther duties as assigned Qualifications Graduate Degree Ten or more years progressive leadership experienceProven track of leading efficient, effective, and complex clinical operations and processes with strong resultsBroad and deep understanding of healthcare and population health, including major trends/forces affecting the industryExtensive range of advance analytical capabilitiesHighly skilled at building and developing teams with a focus on a strong cultureExceptional skills in synthesis and communication (verbal and written)Possesses outstanding project management and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to develop strong, trusting relationships, both internally and externally in a complex environmentAbility to forge collaborative and productive relationships where there is overlap in rolesComfortable working both independently and collaboratively with other team members within the companyAbility to travel up to 30% About our Line of Business Abode Care Partners, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is a leading provider of integrated medical services, caring for individuals from post-hospitalization to home in various settings ranging from skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, independent living, group homes, and private homes.
