THE ROLE

The Vice President of Loss Prevention serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for the development, execution, and oversight of enterprise-wide strategies to reduce risk, minimize loss, and protect company assets across all locations. This position provides strategic direction and operational leadership to the Loss Prevention function, including field-based managers, analysts, and support personnel. In collaboration with other departments such as Operations, Human Resources, Legal, and Finance, this role drives the creation and execution of proactive policies and programs that foster a culture of safety, integrity, and accountability. The role requires a strong combination of executive leadership, investigative experience, and cross-functional partnership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead, mentor, and develop the national Loss Prevention team, including regional leadership and analytics personnel.Define and implement strategic initiatives, goals, and policies to prevent internal and external loss.Oversee high-level investigations into fraud, theft, misconduct, and compliance violations.Collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement training and risk reduction programs across the organization.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze trends to identify high-risk areas; design and implement data-driven solutions to reduce shrink and improve safety.Guide the deployment and use of technologies such as CCTV, POS analytics, and access control systems to enhance investigative and preventive capabilities.Lead internal audit and compliance initiatives to ensure consistency with organizational policies and legal regulations.Advise executive leadership on risk exposure, security concerns, and opportunities for continuous improvement in loss prevention.Travel as necessary to support field investigations, audits, training, and team development.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., LPC, CFI) strongly preferred.10+ years of progressive experience in loss prevention, risk management, or asset protection, with at least 5 years in a senior or regional leadership capacity.Experience in multi-site environments such as retail, hospitality, or entertainment strongly preferred.Proven record of leading successful investigations, audits, and cross-functional security initiatives.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

Advanced knowledge of internal investigations and experience conducting over 100 internal interviews (e.g., Wicklander-Zulawski or equivalent).Proficiency in POS systems, CCTV/security technologies, and analytics/reporting platforms.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and organizational abilities.Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and field teams across various business units.
