We are seeking an experienced Business Development Leader to join our team as Vice President of Customer Requirements and Advocacy. As a key member of our Electronic Systems team, you will be responsible for leading strategic customer relationship management, providing market awareness, and driving business growth with military customers and prime vendors supporting the Department of War. **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead and coordinate Electronic Systems participation in regional customer events, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs at a Senior level. + Develop and execute regular contact plans with customers, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution + Provide market awareness and deep mission understanding of warfighter needs and requirements, informing business development and capture strategies + Support individual business development and capture activities, including deal closure and stakeholder management + Lead a team of personnel to grow the Integrated Business Plan (IBP) with quality orders, prioritizing customer needs and setting staff workload to maximize impact + Lead and ensure that BAE Systems leadership has regular contact plans with our customers and that they execute those plans with confidence. + Supports stakeholder management at a senior level across multiple businesses; gain and retain support/keep sold, ES pursuit and bidding of business opportunities **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + 15 years of experience and a bachelor s degree in technical, business, communications, hospitality management, public relations, marketing, or related field. + 10 years of hands-on experience in military operations, requirements generation, budgeting process and acquisition strategy development. + Resource management skills for planning, programming, budgeting and execution. (PPBE) + Knowledge of BAE Electronic Systems markets and prior experience working with the Joint Staff, Department of War entities, and key organizations such as CAPE, OSD, and Air and Land Warfare communities is critical to success. + Proven ability to connect with customers, understand their requirements, advocate for their needs and lead a team of personnel to grow the IBP with quality orders. + Extensive experience of how to identify, shape, qualify and create new business opportunities. + Strategic Growth Leadership:Proven ability to develop and execute individual opportunity marketing plans, capture strategies, and campaign-level marketing strategies to drive business growth. + Complex Problem solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex situations, make informed decisions, and drive results with minimal supervision. + Talent Development Leadership:Skilled in hiring, mentoring, coaching, and training high-performing teams to support business growth, customer requirements, and customer advocacy. + Collaborative Partnerships: Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, industry partners, and customers, serving as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, including Business Area BD, Program Directors, VPGMs, VP of BD, and Sector President. + Active Secret clearance **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** -[if !supportLists]-> + Former experience as a senior Department of War leader preferred + Complex profit & loss (P&L) experience + Senior level operational military experience + Experience leading business development efforts for a major defense contractor. + Active Top secret Clearance **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $200222 - $340378 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
