Overview

•\tThe Digital Solutions team vision is to create a world beyond plastic through a combination of technology and strategic partnerships. We are creating great experiences for consumers across all channels and all devices, enabling issuers and merchants to reach new consumers in ways not possible in the pre-digital world.
•\tWe work with banks, merchants and digital participants to enable consumers to use connected devices for everyday shopping and payments.
•\tThe position is with the Digital Solutions South Asia team, based in Mumbai or Delhi, and will be lead a team of full-time employees currently with the Digital team
•\tThe role encompasses the key Digital Solutions product suite, including:
o\tTokenization across devices, issuers and merchants
o\tMastercard Send for domestic disbursements, P2P use cases and XB remittances
o\tContactless and QR deployment

Role

This role requires the candidate to:
•\tLead Mastercard’s Digital Solutions team for South Asia
•\tEngage with Mastercard senior management to develop the strategic direction for Mastercard digital products and services.
•\tEnsure our digital strategy is aligned and integrated with the needs of our core business and the needs of our customers.
•\tCoordinate digital strategy, integration and deployment with the regional and global digital teams.
•\tProvide deep insight and strategic thought-leadership around the development of digital payments in South Asia
•\tCome to the role with high-level strategic relationships with key participants in the South Asia digital payments ecosystem that can add value to Mastercard’s business.
•\tBe a motivational team leader who can ensure the right resources are brought to bear to ensure success.


All About You

•\tMBA or Masters Degree required
•\tDeep experience in the digital payments space in South Asia with proven success in bringing products to market and generating adoption.
•\tProven ability to effectively manage a team in the digital payments business
•\tProven ability to develop complex strategic go-to-market plans, and execute on those plans.
•\tIn-depth understanding of the payments ecosystem both in South Asia and globally, including issuance, acceptance, tokenization, fast ACH (UPI), push payments
•\tOperational understanding of payments technologies
•\tAbility to leverage technical knowledge & real-world experience to solve complex business problems.
•\tExcellent problem solving and project management skills.
•\tProven ability to build and maintain strong, productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
•\tAbility to influence people at multiple levels and navigate a global, decentralized organization
•\tStrong English communication skills, both written and verbal
•\tAbility to develop creative solutions for customer needs across multiple products and services.
•\tUnderstanding of API architecture and cloud infrastructure is a plus
•\tUnderstanding of the fundamentals of UI and UX design for mobile is a definite plus
•\tExperience, or interest in, digital design is a plus
•\tTravel required.
