Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the global leader in payment solutions for Small, Medium (SME) and Global & Large (G&L) enterprises. The GCS & Enterprise Solutions (GCSES) team is responsible for developing and managing a suite of commercial payment and spend enablement solutions uniquely differentiated through innovative benefits, features and partnerships underpinned by seamless digital experiences. @ Work is a global program management tool for American Express' Global & Large Corporate customer base.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role sits within GCSES on the @ Work Product Development team and leads strategic platform planning, portfolio delivery, and cross-functional engagement across the @ Work ecosystem. The role owns the strategic program office for the @ Work portfolio, setting the platform modernization agenda and ensuring delivery against the needs of Global & Large corporate clients.

This leader serves as a central connector across product, technology, field, and enterprise partners, with accountability for portfolio prioritization, roadmap execution, investment planning, and executive-level reporting. The role also leads the design and implementation of a more proactive, scalable production support model across the @ Work portfolio in close partnership with Technology and Product teams.

Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, operational rigor, influence across a matrixed organization, and the ability to translate complex inputs into clear direction and outcomes. The leader will build and inspire a high-performing team while driving the evolution and impact of the @ Work platform.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Own and coordinate the end-to-end @ Work customer roadmap, encompassing strategic initiatives and business-as-usual (BAU) work, while ensuring alignment to strategic priorities, compliance requirements, and contractual obligations. Partner closely with Technology on engineering capacity, feature readiness, roadmap planning, funding, roadblocks etc. Ensure smooth working partnership across product and techPartner closely with the Field, G&L Field Strategy, Product, Marketing, Servicing, and Technology teams to develop innovative solutions and continuously drive strategic modernization agenda to advance the platform.Continue to advance the innovation agenda for @ Work platform and build case for investmentTranslate customer needs into action by championing the voice of the customer, incorporating competitive insights and data-driven analysis to deliver compelling, strategic product recommendations. Create, manage and socialize technical Health of the Train program reporting and own regular cross-team Executive Steering Committee updates. Set cadences, manage content, gather inputs across wide array of stakeholders. Set the agenda and own the meetings.Own client-facing customer roadmaps, including milestone level deliverables and keep up to date to share with Field organization and GCG customers. Represent digital innovation narrative in client facing RFPs and callsBuild relationship across production support teams in product development organization and build vision of how to improve issue management processes across the organization

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

10+ years of experience across program/project management, strategy, product development, and business operationsStrong strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and executing innovative strategies that drive business outcomesDeep understanding of product development lifecycles, technology reporting, and go-to-market considerationsExceptional ability to synthesize complex information, bring clarity to ambiguity, and structure problems effectively Highly effective communicator and storyteller, with strong presentation skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organizationProven relationship builder who collaborates seamlessly across large, diverse, matrixed stakeholder groups to break down silosResults-driven leader with a demonstrated ability to deliver meaningful outcomes in partnership with stakeholdersTrack record of creating, building, and leading high-performing program management and/or transformation teamsChange agent who drives innovation, challenges the status quo, and takes informed risks with sound judgmentGrowth-minded leader with curiosity and a passion for learning, capable of fostering the same mindset within teamsStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, balancing leadership through others with hands-on contribution when needed

 

Salary Range: $176,750.00 to $282,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
