WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Vice President, Technology Solutions – Business Software – Finance Systems is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and continuous evolution of the firm's Finance technology ecosystem. This individual partners with Finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, innovative, and secure solutions that support accounting, budgeting, forecasting, procurement, expense management, and financial reporting. The role requires deep experience in product management, financial systems transformation, and enterprise SaaS platforms, and a forward-thinking approach to AI-driven automation

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Leadership

Define and own the technology strategy and roadmap for core Finance systems, including planning, budgeting, procurement, accounting, tax, and financial reporting.Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use-cases across finance functions, such as intelligent automation, anomaly detection, and forecasting optimization, to increase operational efficiency and data-driven insights.Align technology and AI investments with organizational goals and provide strategic input on Finance transformation initiatives.Collaborate with senior Finance leaders to assess current-state capabilities and future requirements; identify local / global processes to drive standardization and simplification; translate insights into an actionable AI-enhanced systems roadmap.Ensure that the Finance systems strategy integrates seamlessly with enterprise architecture standards and broader Technology Solutions priorities.Guide the Finance technology landscape in response to evolving regulatory environments, AI innovations, market trends, and business needs.

Product Management & Execution

Lead a global team of product managers and business analysts supporting Finance systems platforms.Apply product management best practices to define, prioritize, and execute an evolving roadmap of initiatives, balancing immediate needs with long-term enhancements.Oversee implementation and optimization of Finance platforms such as SAP Cloud, Kyriba, and Coupa and promote the use of embedded AI capabilities to streamline operations.Ensure a user-centric approach to system design and change management to maximize adoption and minimize disruption.Establish performance measurement frameworks to monitor system health, user experience, and value realization.

Governance & Innovation

Establish and enforce governance protocols for system development, enhancement requests, release cycles, and cross-functional dependencies.Ensure integrity, security, and compliance within the Finance systems portfolio.Cultivate strategic vendor relationships and drive adoption of innovative technologies including AI, automation, and advanced analytics.Maintain awareness of industry trends, software innovations, and financial regulatory changes to proactively inform technology strategy.

People & Vendor Management

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, globally distributed team with a strong focus accountability, continuous improvement, and AI competency building.Manage external vendors, implementation partners, and support providers to ensure value delivery and alignment with business objectives.Oversee planning and financial management for Finance technology investments, ensuring cost efficiency and ROI.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required.

Demonstrated success in leading complex, enterprise-wide Finance software implementations.Deep understanding of SaaS Finance platforms, including SAP Cloud.Expertise in product management, agile delivery, and stakeholder alignment in global, matrixed environments.Proven ability to lead digital transformation and change management initiatives in financial domains.

Preferred

MBA or equivalent advanced degree.Professional services or consulting industry experience.Strong working knowledge of Finance and accounting principles and enterprise data governance.Familiarity with financial compliance standards (e.g., SOX) and integration frameworks.

U.S. Compensation Information

 Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).

Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:

 

In Massachusetts and in New York, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $220,000 - $276,000. Placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill levelAnnual discretionary performance bonus This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
