Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Vice President, Process Excellence Solution Architecture who combines deep technical expertise in automation and AI with a strong process engineering mindset. This role requires someone who can design comprehensive technology solutions while maintaining a systematic enterprise approach to optimizing business processes and operational efficiency.

Location: Newark, NJ hybrid (minimum 3 days/week in office)
 

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

Design and architect end-to-end technology solutions that integrate automation, AI, and emerging technologies to solve complex business challengesDevelop technical roadmaps and solution blueprints that align with organizational goals and process optimization objectivesCreate detailed system integration plans that ensure seamless connectivity between existing and new technology platformsLead proof-of-concept development and measurable validation of proposed solutions
 

Process Engineering & Optimization

Apply process engineering principles to analyze current state workflows and identify opportunities for automation and improvementDesign optimized business processes that leverage technology capabilities while maintaining operational excellenceDevelop metrics and KPIs to measure process performance and solution effectivenessCollaborate with stakeholders to map process flows and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies
 

Technology Leadership

Evaluate and recommend automation tools, AI/ML platforms, and emerging technologies based on business requirementsStay current with industry trends in robotic process automation (RPA), business process automation (BPA), intelligent automation, machine learning, cloud computing, agentic technologies and overall digital transformationProvide consultative technical guidance to development teams and ensure adherence to architectural standardsConduct technology assessments and feasibility studies for proposed initiatives with deep stakeholder collaboration, including comparative analysis of total cost to own (TCO) proposed solutionsPartner with business leaders, process owners, and IT teams to understand requirements and constraintsFacilitate workshops and design sessions to gather requirements and validate proposed solutionsPresent solution concepts and technical recommendations to executive leadershipServe as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders
 

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field7+ years of experience in solution architecture, systems integration, or process engineering5+ years of hands-on experience with automation technologies and AI/ML implementations
 

Technical Expertise

Strong understanding of process engineering methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, BPM)Extensive experience with automation platforms (RPA tools like UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere)Proficiency in AI/ML technologies, including natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analyticsKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/automation servicesDeep understanding of evolving business technology trends, including competitive landscape and performance of hyper scalers and niche market playersExperience with integration technologies, APIs, and middleware solutionsUnderstanding of data architecture, databases, and data pipeline design

Process & Analytical Skills

Proven ability to analyze complex business processes and identify optimization opportunitiesStrong problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to solution designExperience with process modeling tools and methodologiesAbility to quantify process improvements and demonstrate ROI

Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesStrong project management and organizational skillsCollaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teamsChange management experience and ability to drive adoption of new technologiesSeasoned executive presence and consultative approach to drive strategic informed enterprise decision making
 

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in engineering, Business, or Technology fieldProfessional certifications in process improvement (Six Sigma, Lean) or solution architectureExperience with low-code/no-code platforms and citizen development initiativesKnowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirementsPrevious consulting or client-facing experience

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $171,500.00 to $232,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
