Vice President, Indirect Procurement
**Job Description** BAE is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to fill the role of Vice President, Indirect Procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing $1.2 billion in indirect spend across multiple businesses and categories, including IT, HR, Communications, Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO), Facilities Management, Travel, and Professional Services. This is a high-visibility role that requires a deep understanding of procurement best practices, operations, category management, and supplier relationship management. The Vice President, Indirect Procurement will lead a team of procurement professionals and work closely with stakeholders across the organization to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans, drive cost savings, and improve overall procurement efficiency. This leader must be able to influence and drive indirect strategic sourcing strategies through an influential leadership style. **Key Responsibilities:** + Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for indirect spend, aligning with business objectives and stakeholder needs across the regional and global enterprise. + Lead cross-Sector teams to identify and prioritize sourcing opportunities, leverage spend and drive strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings and process improvements + Manage and develop a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team is equipped to deliver high-quality results + Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including IT, HR, Finance, and Facilities Operations, to understand business requirements and develop tailored procurement solutions + Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and Sector Supply Chain Leaders ensuring that contracts and agreements are negotiated to achieve best-in-class terms and conditions + Negotiate with suppliers, including price, delivery, quality, terms and conditions and business requirements to ensure the best outcome for BAE Systems, while minimizing risk and maximizing value. Includes redlining supplier documents. + Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement + Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and metrics to measure procurement performance and progress towards goals + Ensure compliance with and contribute to the creation/management of company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and maintain a high level of ethics and integrity in all procurement activities + Identify and mitigate risks associated with indirect spend, and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity + Participate, as a delegate, in Corporate level _Request for Bid Approvals (RBA s); Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR s)_ as requested and have knowledge of Direct Procurement policies and procedures + Serve as an active member and participate in Global Supply Chain Council and supporting global strategic initiatives, including the advancement of supply chain principles, digitalization efforts, competitiveness, and developing teams and talent. **Category-Specific Responsibilities:** + IT: Develop and execute strategies for hardware, software, and services, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics + Ensure IT procurements follow strict adherence to IT Security reviews and requirements + HR: Manage procurement for HR-related services, including recruitment, training, and benefits administration + Communications: Develop and execute strategies for telecommunications, network services, and collaboration tools + MRO: Manage procurement for maintenance, repair, and operations services, including equipment maintenance and repair + Facilities Management: Develop and execute strategies for facilities management services, including janitorial, landscaping, and construction services + Travel: Manage procurement for travel services, including air travel, hotels, and car rentals + Professional Services: Develop and execute strategies for professional services, including consulting, finance and audit services **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** **Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, economics or related field + Minimum 15 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role + Proven track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements in procurement categories + Strong understanding of indirect and direct procurement best practices, category management, and supplier relationship management + Excellent leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams + Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers + Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic recommendations + Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational goals and objectives + Broad global aptitude and experience working across a multinational/multicultural setting **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master's degree in Business Administration or related field + Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) designation + Experience with procurement technology, including e-sourcing, contract management, and spend analytics tools + Strong working knowledge of supply chain risk management principles with experience in mitigation strategies **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $196296 - $333704 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
