As a Vice President Experience Design, focusing on AI Experience within the Client Onboarding, Service and Operations space for Payments and Global Banking, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across products and services used by teams across the Corporate Investment bank. Leveraging your deep knowledge of design and research practices, along with cutting-edge AI technology, you will lead strategically important initiatives and develop innovative solutions that align with business requirements and user needs. As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide, and mentor junior designers, and foster a culture of inclusivity and accessibility. Your expertise in experience strategy, inclusive design and AI integration will ensure that our offerings are not only visually appealing but also accessible, user-friendly and enhance the overall customer experience.
**Job responsibilities**
+ Develop and execute design/research strategies for complex projects and ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs across multiple product areas
+ Diagram service flows and product features, design wireframes, and prototype interactions for key touchpoints as you lead end-to-end design initiatives within a specific domain.
+ Role-model the adoption of inclusive design practices and accessibility guidelines, mentor junior designers and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user experience design into the product development processes and ensure seamless and customer-centric solutions
+ Analyze market trends, gather feedback from user research, and learn from data insights to inform design decisions and optimize user experiences across various platforms and channels
+ Deliver across concurrent projects and efficiently scale execution of design direction, providing status and transparency to leadership. You'll collaborate with Product Owners, Business Sponsors, Strategists, Developers, and the design team and play a key role in entrenching a culture of design-and defining the end-to-end product experience
+ Use our technology platform and brand guidelines to contribute to design solutions in a proficient and sustainable manner-and work closely with our Design System to produce and contribute to patterns and to develop and refine our Visual Design Language
+ Participate in upfront user research, perform usability testing with the support and guidance of Experience Researchers, measure your work's value throughout the design process-and deliver work that is user-friendly and produces results.
+ Present your work to a diverse selection of business stakeholders and the broader product and technology organization-and use your expertise in design thinking to plan and facilitate ideation and alignment workshops with project stakeholders
+ Design through wireframes, visuals, and prototypes at different levels of fidelity. You'll be required to ideate and concept prior to the full definition of a delivery milestone, leading workshops and collaborative design sessions
+ Create next-generation experiences, applying expertise in User Experience, Information Architecture, Interaction Design, and Data Visualization to develop compelling experiences for our products
**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
+ 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in user experience design or similar roles
+ Demonstrated ability to create visual representations of user journeys, such as storyboarding, wireframes, and prototypes
+ Demonstrated experience in inclusive design and accessibility guidelines, with the ability to incorporate diverse perspectives and abilities into design solutions
+ Proven ability to develop experiences that meet or exceed the initial proposal of a product or experience, including the development of transformational innovation strategies and the creation of 'north star' representations to drive customer-centric decision-making
+ Advanced technical literacy, including an advanced understanding of client-side technologies, APIs, microservices, and the components of the technology stack, as well as their impact on user experience
+ Have proficiency designing for high density data driven experiences
+ Be a problem solver who works best within a collaborative team-focused environment and is comfortable learning complex financial and data science concepts and AI developments - understand different kinds of AI models, feedback loops, Human in the loop activities
+ Be a detail-focused, self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and evolving business requirements. Be comfortable giving and receiving feedback and critique
+ Understand what makes an experience good or bad. You can think through user problems, find reasonable solutions, test and evidence in order to explain your rationale to multiple roles, mock them up in detail, and work with engineers to build them
+ Understand and practice the different phases of the user research and design process -validating hypotheses with users, effectively communicating concepts, creating low/high fidelity prototypes
+ Has led new business thinking and strategy through their user-centered design work-and has strong facilitation skills and experience employing a variety of techniques to run complex design-led workshops
**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
+ Design leadership or managerial experience
+ Bachelor's Degree in relevant design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, HCI, User Experience Design), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience
+ Prior experience working in complex business domains or in enterprise environments working on large-scale transformation programs and AI technologies
+ Advocate for Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices
+ Comfortable with structuring and planning design work in cross-functional contexts
+ Able to show how your understanding of technical constraints and opportunities informed design solutions; Familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, frameworks such as React, and mobile UI standards
+ Knowledge and experience working in Agile a plus
