Vice President, Enterprise Analytics & Portfolio Management

The Vice President, Enterprise Analytics & Portfolio Management is a critical executive leader in the organization, responsible for shaping, executing, and operationalizing the analytics vision for Pediatric Associates Family of Companies (PAFC). This role sits at the intersection of analytics strategy, operational excellence, and business partnership.

The VP owns the enterprise analytics ecosystem—including reporting architecture, KPI standardization, dashboard governance, portfolio management, and the maturity of analytics operations. This leader is accountable for transforming the current fragmented reporting layer into a unified, reliable, high-quality analytics foundation used by business, clinical, and operational leaders across all states.

 

This role drives enterprise analytics strategy, leads the planning and execution of analytics portfolios, and ensures that the organization has consistent, trusted, and actionable insights to support business performance, growth, and value-based care transformation. The VP serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and a thought partner to functional leaders across Operations, Clinical Services, Finance, and Population Health and directly reports to Chief AI and Data Analytics officer.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the enterprise analytics vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap balancing innovation with operational excellence and ensuring alignment. Serve as the executive thought partner to senior business and clinical leaders, translating enterprise needs into actionable analytics solutions, KPIs, and portfolio priorities. Lead the transformation of the reporting ecosystem by consolidating legacy dashboards, eliminating redundancies, and implementing a unified, standardized analytics layer. Oversee the creation of consistent enterprise KPIs, definitions, and analytics governance structures to enable reliable decision-making across all markets and service lines. Own the analytics operating model including intake governance, prioritization, resource allocation, delivery maturity, SLAs, and development standards. Lead the planning, design, development, deployment, and lifecycle support of enterprise reporting, dashboards, analytics tools, and advanced analytics capabilities. Oversee the cleanup and modernization of existing analytics assets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, data quality, and alignment with standardized enterprise metrics. Drive a culture of quality and accountability ensuring that all analytics products meet expectations for accuracy, performance, scalability, and reliability. Own end-to-end deployment, QA, release management, and production support for all enterprise analytics solutions, ensuring uptime, data freshness, security, and PHI compliance. Partner closely with business leaders to identify needs, develop well-defined requirements, and ensure analytics solutions create measurable operational and financial impact. Lead strategic engagement with Operations, Finance, Clinical, Marketing, Network Management, and VBC to ensure analytics products directly support enterprise goals. Provide executive-level insights and education across the organization to drive adoption of data-driven decision-making. Oversee analytics delivery using Azure Cloud, Databricks Delta Lake, SQL, Power BI, and other cloud-based analytics technologies. Partner with the Data Engineering teams to ensure robust data foundations, analytic datasets, and enterprise data definitions. Promote the evolution of analytics from descriptive reporting to predictive, Lead and grow a high-performing analytics organization consisting of analysts, BI developers, analytics product managers, and data science professionals. Develop the next generation of analytics leaders by providing coaching, mentorship, performance management, and professional development opportunities. Promote a culture of excellence, curiosity, continuous learning, and accountability. Maintain deep knowledge of healthcare analytics trends, value-based care measurement, performance reporting, and modern BI/AI/ML capabilities. Ensure PAFC remains a leader in using analytics to improve patient outcomes, drive cost efficiency, increase access, and enhance organizational performance.
 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads the Enterprise Analytics & Portfolio Management organization, including analytics professionals, BI developers, analytics product owners, and data scientists.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Health Informatics, or a related field required. Master’s degree (MS, MBA, MHA, Analytics, Data Science, or related discipline) preferred. Healthcare analytics expertise strongly preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 10 years in a senior leadership role with responsibility for analytics team oversight and enterprise portfolio management required. 5+ years of direct people management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and talent development required. Demonstrated success modernizing analytics ecosystems and transitioning organizations from fragmented tools to unified enterprise reporting. Proven track record leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives in healthcare or a similarly complex environment. Experience implementing Agile/Scrum, iterative development, and analytics product lifecycle management. Strong technical understanding in SQL and BI tools, data modeling concepts, and cloud analytics platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks).

Strong executive presence and ability to influence across complex organizational structures. Exceptional communication skills—able to translate operational, clinical, and financial needs into analytics and reporting requirements. Expertise in data-driven operational improvement, KPI design, and analytics storytelling. Advanced problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Deep understanding of healthcare data, VBC performance, patient access, clinical quality, and operational workflows. Strong understanding of healthcare data privacy and security regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, PHI management).
