About this role
BlackRock seeks an initiative-taking Vice President to support the Outsourced Platform Services team in delivering proprietary accounting software to clients. TheVP will support assetonboarding, variance analysis,stabilization of the monthly close process,and the transition to the client’s production support team. The right candidate possesses a strong aptitude for improving processes, controls, and user experiencewhile collaborating with other areas of the BlackRock organization.
Key responsibilities:
Develop a detailed knowledge of BlackRock’s capabilities, products, and services centered around the Aladdin® product offering.
Successfully leadaccounting system implementations ontoBlackRock Aladdin’s proprietaryAladdin® software, while adhering to strict deadlines.
Provide feedbackand improvement ideas to the product/engineering teams to enhance system functionality.
Leverage your analytical abilities to identify and assess inefficiencies utilizing a strong aptitude ofassessing and defining new processes and procedures.
Possesstechnical and accounting knowledge to understandhow accounting data flows throughthe platform to generate journal entries and financial and regulatory reports.
Continuously improve the control framework to reduce risk and integrate the latest business and product developments.
Experience Required:
Minimum 6 years of proven experience in investments/markets with afocus on investment accounting
Experience leading accounting system implementations
Comprehensive understanding of key accounting reports (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Trial Balance)
Capability to understand complex data flows with a strong emphasis in reconciling large data sets
Proven record of demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledgeable in regulatory and accounting standards
Experiencewiththe following financial instruments; securities, derivatives, alternatives, and loans
Continuous operational improvement and control enhancement mentality
Fluency (written and oral) in English required.
