Job Description:
You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing UPS’s strategy for third-party logistics (3PL) customers, driving both new business development and the expansion of existing accounts.
Reporting to the President, Global Digital and Indirect Channels , you will act as both a strategist and a hands-on commercial driver — balancing relationship management, deal-making, and team leadership. While your focus will primarily be on the North American market, you will also be expected to operate in a global context.
What You’ll DoDefine and execute UPS’s sales and partnership strategy in the 3PL customer space.
Guide the 3PL sales team to shift from focusing on individual relationships to adopting a channel program approach.
Drive both new business acquisition and account expansion across transportation, logistics, and warehousing customers.
Serve as a player-coach: lead a small team while personally engaging in high-impact sales activities.
Manage and strengthen strategic customer relationships, negotiating complex partnership agreements.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align sales tactics with operational capabilities and broader corporate strategy.
Provide thought leadership and market insights to influence how UPS positions itself with 3PL customers.
Deliver against revenue targets while shaping long-term growth opportunities.
What We’re Looking ForA minimum of 8 years of progressive senior commercial leadership.
The ability to operate as both a hands-on dealmaker and a strategic relationship builder.
A strong background in transportation, logistics, or warehousing industries (experience at competitor 3PLs highly valued).
A commercially driven mindset with operational understanding — you can translate logistics/warehousing knowledge into winning sales strategies.
A track record of negotiating and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
High resilience, grit, and work ethic; you thrive in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
Proven experience in developing and leading successful sales teams to achieve ambitious targets.
