Key Responsibilities:
Vibration Data Acquisition & AnalysisDevelop and implement vibration measurement methodologies for rotating and static equipment such as motors, pumps, turbines, and gearboxes.Configure and calibrate vibration sensors (accelerometers, MEMS, and piezoelectric) to ensure accurate data acquisition and reliable signal quality.Perform vibration spectrum and time-domain analysis to identify unbalance, misalignment, bearing wear, looseness, and resonance issues.Apply Full Spectrum Analysis to detect forward and backward whirl components, unbalance, misalignment, and fluid-induced instabilities in rotating machinery.Conduct Orbit and Centerline (CLD) Analysis to assess shaft dynamic behavior, journal bearing performance, and rotor stability during various operating conditions.Possess working knowledge of journal bearing analysis and eddy current sensor-based measurements for monitoring shaft position and bearing clearances.Signal Processing and Feature ExtractionApply signal processing techniques such as FFT, envelope detection, wavelet transforms, and cepstrum analysis.Extract relevant features for machine learning–based fault prediction models.Diagnostics and Root Cause AnalysisSupport diagnostic efforts for vibration-related issues in mechanical systems.Provide insights to improve asset reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.Collaboration and ReportingWork with cross-functional teams (mechanical, data science, software, and IoT engineers) to enhance system accuracy.Document test procedures, results, and diagnostic algorithms.Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers.Qualifications
Qualifications
Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or Applied Physics.Experience:
5-7 years in vibration diagnostics, predictive maintenance, Condition Monitoring
Certifications
Must have ISO Category II or III Vibration Analyst Certification (e.g., Mobius Institute)Good to have knowledge of ISO 10816 / ISO 20816 standardsGood to have knowledge of API Standards for Rotating MachineryPreferred skillsThermographyKnowledge on Dynamic balancing, Alignment, MCSA, Lubrication analysisRoot cause analysis (RCA) and reliability tools (FMEA, FRACAS etc)Additional InformationAdditional information
