Overview The VFX Production Assistant will assist the producers and artists with the day-to-day logistics and management of projects. The producing team oversees all aspects moving a job through the facility's pipeline to final delivery and serves as the client’s main point of contact. The VFX Production Assistant will supplement and support the department, including but not limited to creative VFX, colour grading, audio and delivery. This position will report to the VFX Head of Production. Responsibilities Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Support daily, weekly, and ongoing needs of commercial advertising departments Enter and track work orders, following up with artists to ensure accuracy and compliance Make PO entries and revisions and upload final invoices with oversight of Senior Producer Work closely with bookings to schedule both artists time and internal and external calls/meetings Track internal and external expenses for the department, on a job-by-job basis Tracking projects throughout completion and then upon delivery to ensure accurate invoicing and efficient use of staff/freelance time Create shot lists and enter/update meeting notes Predict possible scheduling conflicts and work with producing team to prevent them Assist and distribute information to VFX, Audio and Colour producing teams Interface with client services department to ensure the a seamless client experience Other project and post-related duties, as necessary and assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Strong experience in a post-production environment Is comfortable interfacing with both clients and fellow staff Is interested in a career in VFX Production Has a passion for the creative process and is enthusiastic to work with creatives and artists in the final stages of their projects Administrative software knowledge Extreme attention to detail Ability to take direction while solving problems creatively Proficient with Ceta Has a basic technical understanding of professional post-production workflows & formats Additional information Diversity and inclusion is a core part of who we are at Harbor Picture Company.
