VFL, PAIV and Closing - Management Accounting/ FA Associate
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Processes value flow and PAIV-related requests from Regional Finance Hub and other stakeholders
with quality and within SLA (48 hours), as to the following:
o Cost center creation and master data maintenance
o Internal order and WBS creation and master data maintenance
o CCA, COPA and PCA cycle maintenance
o Correction via cycle run, COPA Korr or 9KE0 postings
o Material master data settings and maintenance
o Standard price and cost estimates
• Efficient system for distribution and corresponding quality checks.
• Performs closing activities/steps related to cost accounting and product accounting, as well as closing
tasks including GRIR activity, AP Accrual analysis, IFRS9, FCV run, revenue recognition adjustment
postings, sales reporting, Vistex reconciliation (if applicable), and closing checks. complies with related
ICS standards
• Participate in all of the Global Finance MA Process related calls, Cost Accounting/VFL, Product
Accounting/PAIV and Closing Experts calls and GFO Department quarterly townhalls.
• Delivers reports on time in relation to both operations and Function/Workstream involvement
• Performs resolution of findings to Regional Finance Hub / AccP on monthly Value Flow Monitoring via
system implementation
Other Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Supports functional projects (e.g., implementation of technical enablers, system migrations,
roll-in/transitions of new services or companies)
• Complies with Bayer policies and procedures and supports company initiatives.
• Attends all mandatory functional and essential skills trainings and completes assigned MyLearnings
within the agreed timeline (e.g., F2F classroom training).
• Performs ad-hoc activities on a need basis.
WHO YOU ARE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or similar equivalent
degree
• Preferably at least 1 year of professional experience in Cost Accounting, Financial Accounting, Product
Accounting, General Accounting, Financial Analysis, or similar fields
• Fundamental understanding of global accounting and controlling processes and their point of
intersection with other business processes
• Good communication skill (written / spoken)
• Analytical, proactive, with initiative and persistence for follow-up
• Good in issue handling, decision-making, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Proactive approach, taking on ownership and actively aiming to live DSO behaviors
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of Bayer Group accounting and reporting requirements, especially Product Accounting
and/or Cost Accounting in accordance with the Bayer Management Accounting Policy
• Knowledge in SAP FI/ CO module, good overview of interfaces with other modules
