Veterinary Technician Supervisor
Location: 125 Mulberry St, East Ellijay, GA 30540 **VCA Appalachian Animal Hospital​** is hiring a **Veterinary Technician** **Supervisor** to join our leadership team in the beautiful north Georgia mountains! We are a 3-doctor small animal practice located in East Ellijay, GA, offering primary care, surgery, and dentistry services as well as boarding. We are open Monday through Friday 7:30am - 7pm, Saturdays 9am - 4pm, closed Sundays. Check out our website here: https://vcahospitals.com/appalachian **About the Role** As Technician Supervisor, you will be responsible for the leadership and development of our patient care team. You will have the support of our hospital and field leadership in this role. Skills that you will be utilizing (and teaching!) include: + Patient assessment and triage + Compassionate patient care + Client care and education + Anesthesia induction and monitoring + Surgical preparation and assisting + Dentistry + Radiology + Laboratory work + Venipuncture + Catheter placement + Pharmacy + Patient recovery + Medical record keeping Supervisory duties will include: + Team training, development and support + Implementing department policies and procedure + Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings + Assist with maintenance of facility, equipment, inventory + Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs + Recordkeeping **Qualifications** + Two or more years of veterinary technician experience + Prior Technician leadership experience preferred + Georgia Veterinary Technician license (LVT) or eligible preferred **Why VCA** VCA Animal Hospitals is a community of over 800 hospitals across the US, including primary care, emergency, and specialty medicine.
