VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital is currently seeking an Entry-Level Veterinary Lab Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly intelligent, motivated, and eager to learn in a hands-on environment. Experience is a plus, but not required—we're willing to train the right candidate. We are a busy, 24-hour emergency/referral/multi-specialty and general practice in Hollywood, Florida.

Laboratory Technician processes and tests all types of laboratory specimens; reviews and reports lab results; performs operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment; acts as resource as needed.
Lab Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
· Receive and prepare samples for laboratory analysis and testing
· Process and label samples (blood, urine, fecal, tissue, etc.)
· Responsible for performing moderate and high-complexity testing
· Working knowledge of laboratory equipment
· Familiarity with diagnostic laboratory environment
· Record all data and results
· Maintain all laboratory equipment
· Performs quality control and calibration procedures when indicated and instrument checks
· Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times
· Performs other related duties as assigned
