VCA Animal Specialty Group (ASG) is an emergency and specialty referral hospital. We focus specialty services, emergencies, and hospitalization of stable and critically ill patients. We are adjacent to Griffith Park and the Los Angeles Zoo.We are looking for a candidate that has at least one year of veterinary customer service experience as a CSR or DA.Pay range: $21.5-$27 Shifts: 10 hours/4 days per weekSchedule: Early SwingRequirements for the position:Minimum of 1 year of veterinary experience required.Ability to communicate with clients, doctors and staff professionally, respectfully and compassionately.Ability to prioritize and multitask.Ability to answer a high volume of calls, emails, and text message.Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction.Ability to remain professional and respectful under high pressure situations.Duties & Responsibilities:Communicate with clients (greet, check-in, and check-out clients, answer phones, present estimates, etc.)Collect presenting concerns from clients and visually triage patients specifically for critical patientsSchedule and confirm appointments for all specialty departments and emergencyProcess payment transactions, including Care Credit, Scratch PaySend out and obtain records from referring Primary Care VeterinariansSend and receive phone calls, texts and emailsMaintain hospital cleanliness, including the lobby, exam rooms, restrooms, pharmacy, breakroom, etc.Manage digital medical records, reports and correspondenceEnsure clients are having an overall excellent experienceWhy You Should Consider VCA Animal Specialty GroupCompetitive compensation ranges from $21.5-$27 per hourComplete benefits package, including: medical/dental/vision insurance (after 30 days of employment)Accrued vacation and sick timePaid holidays*401k (with company matching)Generous employee pet care discountsMuch more!
