**Job Title:** Client Care Assistant **Location:** Village Vet, St Albans **Job** **Type:** Full-time, Permanent **Hours:** 42 Hours per week. Flexible shift patterns that vary between 08:00am and 8:00pm including weekend working 1: 4 weekends An opportunity has arisen to join our fantastic team at our St Albans Hospital team as a Client Care Assistant. Working at a busy 24 hour veterinary hospital, you will be responsible for ensuring both our clients and patients receive a professional five-star service throughout their time with us. This role is fast-paced, high-pressured but fun, with no two working days the same. We pride ourselves on providing the best standard of care to both our long-standing and new clients, always ensuring we are personal, professional, and empathetic. Our front-of-house teams are the face and voice of our business therefore, this role is extremely valued within the hospital team. **Your role and responsibilities** + Liaising with clients and the clinical team to ensure effective customer service + Meeting and greeting clients with an effortless smile + Booking appointments and diary management + Managing telephone and email enquiries + Taking payment for services and products + Promoting our fantastic Pet Healthcare Plan + Completing various administrative duties for the clinical team and the business + Managing cash, stock and client accounts + Opening up and closing the primary care services. + Various administrative duties such as:-Pet travel scheme paperwork / AHCs -Post op calls and Pre-op texts -Maintaining consult rooms -Uploading /printing lab results -Scanning paperwork-Meds collections texts -Inputting stock take (every 3 months) -Some restraining to help vets when limited staff + You may be required to cover shifts at our other pratices in Hertfordshire **Key Skills and Experience** + Experience in a Reception or Customer Service role essential + Experience of Veterinary industry preferable + IT skills – confident in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook as a minimum + Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills + The ability to stay focused under pressure and to multitask + Flexibility to work on a rota basis **Benefits** + 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays and Birthday Leave + Career progression opportunities + Staff discount schemes + Life Assurance + Enhanced sickness pay + Enhanced equal family leave + E-car salary sacrifice scheme + Employer contribution pension scheme + Wellness program including: + Employee assistance program + Eyecare voucher scheme + Free annual Flu jab + Cycle to work scheme + Recruitment referral reward scheme **About Us** We are a well-established, RCVS accredited, small animal hospital based in St Albans. and we offer out of hours care to the local areas of Hertfordshire, and North London.
