VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital is seeking a Pack and Prep Technician Assistant to join our growing Surgery team full time!

Skills & Qualifications:

Prefer working knowledge of surgical sterilization techniques, but willing to train for the right candidate;Professional behavior & appearance, excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive, friendly attitude;Able to handle multiple tasks at once, and deal with high levels of stress in an environment of changing priorities.

Job Responsibilities:

Clean surgical instruments using surgical sterilization techniques;Prepare surgical packs and PPE (gloves, gowns, drapes and masks) for sterilization;Properly set up and run sterilization equipment - gas sterilizer and autoclave;Decontaminating and cleaning operating rooms, sterile supply room and equipment daily and after surgical procedures;Maintain proper stock of surgical supplies in pack area and surgical suites

Potential Schedule: Schedule offered is M-F or M-Th 9-5p or 9-7p

Compensation: $16 - $18 / hour based on skill set, experience, and licensure status
