Veterinary Assistant - Rose Valley Veterinary Hospital Location: West Kelowna, British Columbia

What You’ll Need 

Previous veterinary or animal care experience is an asset  Exceptional client service skills that build trust and lasting relationships  Strong communication and teamwork abilities  Compassion and a gentle approach when working with pets and people  Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment  Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure  A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills  Initiative and reliability when completing tasks independently 

Your Role 

Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care, using low-stress handling techniques  Supporting the client care team and occasionally helping at reception as needed  Preparing medications and supplies for clients (under DVM or RVT direction)  Providing attentive care to hospitalized patients, including feeding, walking, and comfort  Handling, cleaning, and sterilizing surgical equipment  Helping keep the hospital running smoothly with general cleaning, restocking, and maintenance duties 

Compensation 

Starting at $18.00/hour, with increases based on experience.
