This individual will directly instruct senior veterinary students and student workers in the technical aspects of patient care. This position will also monitor the welfare of university-owned horses, including those enrolled in research projects. This position will provide assistance to clinicians with procedures and receiving of emergency cases. **This is a rotating overnight shift position:** Weekdays: Monday – Thursday 9pm – 7am, and weekends: Friday – Sunday 7pm – 8am. Minimum Qualifications **Minimum Qualifications** Depending on the combination of education and experience, the selected finalist will be hired as a Veterinary Assistant – Inpatient and assigned level I, II orIII . + **Level I** : Requires a High school diploma or equivalent and 0 years of experience. + **Level II:** Requires High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment. + **LevelIII :** Requires High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent **Substitutions allowed for Education:** Indicated education is required; no substitutions allowed. **Substitutions allowed for Experience:** When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
