VCA Arroyo Grande Animal Hospital is looking for a dependable, motivated, and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is a full-time position working four 10-hour shifts per week, including rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments

Proper animal restraint and handling

Preparing exam rooms and maintaining hospital cleanliness

Supporting diagnostic procedures (radiographs, lab samples, etc.)

Communicating effectively with team members and clients

Helping maintain a smooth and efficient workflow throughout the hospital

Qualifications:

Previous veterinary or animal care experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right individual

Strong work ethic and reliability

Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player

Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

Compassion for animals and excellent client service skills

Schedule:

Full-time (4 days per week, 10-hour shifts)

Includes some Saturdays
