VCA Valley Animal Hospital in Roanoke, VA is seeking a full time experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

We are a fast-paced practice offering Primary Care, Surgery, Dentistry, and more.  Our hours are Monday 7:30am – 7:30pm, Tuesday through Friday 7:30am – 5:30pm, Saturday 7:30am – 12:30pm, closed Sundays.

About the Role

As Veterinary Assistant, you will support our team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients.  Duties will include:

Compassionate patient careClient education and careObtaining patient history from clientsFilling prescriptionsPreparing suite and surgery and dentistry patientsPerforming laboratory work and diagnostic imagingMaintaining medical recordsSafe and effective patient handling and restraint

Compensation: $15 - $18 / hour based on skill set, and experience.
