We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will be a believer in high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. VCA Salem Animal Hospital is a 9 doctor practice offering both Primary Care and Urgent Care Services in our newly remodeled facility.
In this position you will be supporting our Doctor team. Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Maintaining detailed medical records.

• Client Communication.
• Filling prescriptions.
• Performing laboratory work and Hands-Free diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.

• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients. Anesthesia monitoring.

• Exam Room Nurse Duties
• Animal Restraint and Handling

• Obtaining diagnostic laboratory samples

• Triage

• Medication administration

Certified Veterinary Technicians are encouraged to apply!
