Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital  is currently welcoming a full-time, dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

We have a full-time, one-year contract opportunity available in our radiation oncology department, which will include a range of responsibilities that directly contribute to the efficient and effective daily operation of the department. The ideal candidate will have experience in veterinary and/or administrative roles. A veterinary assistant certificate would be an asset. 

Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments

Create a warm and welcoming environment for our pet parents

Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and adapt to changing situations

General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas

Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments

Compassion and a nurturing attitude

Take initiative and work independently

Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program certificate is an asset

Schedule: The department currently operates on a Monday-Thursday schedule.
