**Vestibular Fellowship (Clinical 1 year)**
The Cleveland Clinic, Integrated Surgical Institute, Section of Audiology, seeks applicants for a one-year clinical vestibular fellowship starting in July 2026, supported by revenue from the Vestibular and Balance Disorders Laboratory. This position provides clinical service in addition to mentorship and training to become an expert in vestibular assessment and management (approximately 70% clinic time and 30% research/mentoring time).
The vestibular fellowship experience will provide an in-depth approach to the assessment and non-medical management of patients with dizziness, vertigo, and imbalance concerns. Clinical preparation includes a review of the anatomy and physiology of the peripheral and central vestibular system and oculomotor systems; balance disorder pathologies; case history; office vestibular examination; technique and interpretation of diagnostic vestibular testing across the lifespan; and vestibular rehabilitation. There will be exposure to both pediatric and adult patients. The training program will allow the fellow to apply knowledge gained from academic and clinical training programs, further develop and refine skills consistent with the audiology scope of practice in vestibular sciences, and engage in professional mentorship and collaboration to promote clinical confidence and competence. Interdisciplinary education and practice will be infused into the program.
Upon completion of this training year, fellows will:
1. Verbalize understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system.
2. Demonstrate competencies and independence in the methods for administration and interpretation of diagnostic vestibular measures provided at the Cleveland Clinic:
+ Office vestibular examination
+ Functional performance measures including risk of falling screening
+ Videonystagmography (VNG)
+ Video Head Impulse Testing (vHIT)
+ Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (VEMP)
+ Electrocochleography (EcochG)
+ Dynamic Visual Acuity Test (DVAT)
+ Rotational Chair Test
+ Assessment and treatment for Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo.
+ Interpretation and report writing
+ Professional communication
+ Interdisciplinary practice with care team members
+ Participate in clinical research under the direction of Drs. Julie Honaker and Mikayla Massa. Research experiences are tailored to individual candidates.
+ Participate in interdisciplinary education and practice (IPE/IPP) with the Vestibular Rehabilitation Fellow and complete an IPP project.

The salary range displayed in this job posting reflects the anticipated salary range for new physicians hired into full-time (100% FTE) positions. This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE.
