The base pay for this position generally is between $83,200.00 and $136,100.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
In addition, this position has a commission earnings target starting at $30,000.

Seeking to shape enterprise connectivity? As a Sales Engineer II at Spectrum, you’ll design and present advanced network solutions, guide junior engineers and lead technical strategy, partnering with sales teams and clients to deliver Managed Services, Fiber Internet, Ethernet and Unified Communications that drive business outcomes for major organizations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Collaborate with sales teams and clients to assess requirements, design network solutions and deliver tailored proposals for data, voice and video servicesLead WAN and unified communications design, prepare technical documentation and present solutions for internal reviewMentor junior Sales Engineers and drive account planning for seamless integration and client satisfactionConduct product demonstrations, respond to RFI/RFPs and contribute to enterprise strategyOversee site surveys, post-sale documentation and coordinate project teams for efficient installationsDeliver technical training, maintain product expertise and support new launchesEnsure compliance and contribute to special projectWorking Conditions

Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training, education and experience in a related fieldExperience
3+ years technical sales experience or experience supporting sales efforts for large enterprise customers in Sales Engineering or Networking roles in the telecom or service provider industrySkills
Skilled in designing WAN solutions for up to 100 sites using SD-WAN, Ethernet and legacy technologiesAdvanced understanding of data security systems, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, routing, switching and protocols such as BGP, OSPF, CoS/QoS and emerging technologiesExpert in networking concepts like VPN, TCP/IP, MPLS, VPLS, DWDM, CWDM and multimedia applicationsExperienced in Unified Communications and voice protocols including SIP and VoIP for hosted and on-premises solutionsStrong leadership in mentoring junior engineers, multitasking and managing cross-functional projectsExcellent verbal and written communication, presentation and proposal design skillsProven ability to build lasting relationships with technical and executive leaders in large enterprises, influence IT and executive decision-making and contribute to RFI/RFP/RFQ processes.Proficient with MS Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPointConsultative solution design informed by industry trends, regulatory changes and enterprise decision-makingValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and insurancePreferred Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training, education and experience preferably focused on IT or Telecommunications Engineering TechnologyExperience
5+ years experience in voice and data communications roles including Sales Engineering, Solution Architect, Network Engineering or Administration, Value Added Reseller or other technical positionsExperience in strategic account positioning with executive management and developing strategy and technical responses for RFP, RFI or RFxSkills
Professional certifications in data networking, WANs, voice communications or network security from providers such as ISC, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto or JuniperAbility to present service designs in clear terms, articulating benefits and outcomes#LI-MD2
